This Privacy Policy describes how BeeStripe LLC (referred to in this Privacy Policy as “Company”, “we”,”us”, or “our”), as the operator of the website www.thebettercleaner.com (the “Site”) and the developer of the associated mobile applications (the “App”) available for download in the Google Play Store and other third party app store, or pre-installed on third party devices, collects information when you visit the Site or use the App (separately and collectively as the “Service”). It also explains how we use and disclose the information we collect from you, and your rights in relation to that information.

Acceptance

When using our product, we assume that you have read this Privacy Policy and have consented to it. Please note that if you disagree with anything in this Privacy Policy, you must not use the Service.

Amendments

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time due to business practices, new technology, new laws, or simply to improve our users’ experience. These changes will be updated on this page along with the effective date. Users will be notified in advance of the effective date of the changes made through a notice on our Services. The continued use of the Services after the update means that you have consented to the new Privacy Policy and agree to be bounded by all its terms. Otherwise, if you do not agree to the changes, you should discontinue using our Services before the updated Privacy Policy takes effect.

A. Information You Voluntarily Provide

  1. Contact Information: This can be your email address or Facebook account or other third-party social network account which you can use to register for the Services.
  2. Customer Support Information: This is the information you provide us when you contact us through the following channels: email, support page from our Site, and social.
  3. Social Media Account Information: Your social media account information is only used so we can identify your email address. Other information like birthday, friends list, or public profile information will only be collected if you voluntarily agree that we do so.

B. Information Automatically Collected Using our Services

  1. Device Information: Using our Services through a mobile device may allow us to identify the general location of your mobile device (not precise), its brand, model, operating system, screen size, resolution, operating system version, internet connection, carrier, random-access memory, the application you have installed, the applications running in the background, and your mobile device’s advertising ID.
  2. Cookies and Similar Tracking Information: Your interactions with our services will be collected by utilizing cookies and other similar tracking technologies. This information may include but not limited to the following: account activation time, advertisements shown to you and whether you clicked on them, your Internet Protocol (IP) address, your mobile country code, and your user ID.

You may limit the amount of information we collect from your device (i.e., phone, tablet, or computer) by configuring your device or browser settings.

C. Information You Share on Third-Party Websites or Social Media Services

Our Services may include links to third-party websites and social media services. As such, your use of third-party websites and social media services may result in the collection or sharing of information about you by these third-party websites and social media services. How We Use The Information We Collect

We use the information to improve our Services in different ways as detailed below and we will disclose to you if we use your personal information in any other way. You have the right to disallow us from using your personal information for any purpose that is not compatible with the purposes for which we originally collected or obtained your consent. However, should you choose to limit the ways we can use your personal information, some or all part of the Services may not be available to you.

We will be unable to deliver the Services to you if your information is not available.

Designated Countries: For all purposes listed above, in compliance to the EU General Data Protection Protection Regulation (GDPR) or any equivalent legislation (collectively Data Protection Laws), we process the personal information of users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom and Switzerland (collectively, the Designated Countries) based on our contract with you.

A. To comply with applicable law, we process your personal information to pay our taxes or fulfill our other business obligation, as well as manage risks. We are unable to maintain legal and regulatory compliance without processing your personal information for these purposes.
Designated Countries: To comply with our legal obligations pertaining to users located in Designated Countries, we process personal information pursuant to the Data Protection Laws.

B. To help us improve our Services, we process information about the way you interact and use our Services. This is necessary for us so we can continue to research and develop new Services for you that you will continue to enjoy.
Designated Countries: We process the personal information of users located in the Designated Countries to achieve our legitimate interest as mentioned above in compliance to the Data Protection Laws.

C. We may process your contact information or information about your interactions on our Services to engage in marketing activities; that is to: send marketing communications and deliver targeted marketing. Transactional communications about our Services or about your account are not considered marketing communications. You may opt-out of our marketing activities at any time.

How We Share Your Information with Third Parties

These services may include: operation and supporting of the Services, analyzing data, and/or performing marketing or consulting services. These entities will only have access to the personal information to perform these limited functions on our behalf.
    Designated Countries: We process the personal information of users located in the Designated Countries based on our contract with you and in compliance to the Data Protection Laws.
  2. We will disclose your personal information if we are required to do so by law, or in response to a court order or subpoena or other similar request from judicial authority, law enforcement authorities or other competent public authorities to protect rights and to comply with our policies.
    Designated Countries: We process the personal information of users located in the Designated Countries based on our legal obligations, in the public interest, or your vital interests, in compliance with the Data Protection Laws.
  3. In the event that the Company goes through a business transition, such as being acquired by another company, a merger, selling a portion of its assets, or bankruptcy, users’ personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. We will notify you via a prominent notice within our Services of any change in ownership or uses of you personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding the use of you personal information.
    Other than to the extent ordered by a bankruptcy or other court, the use and disclosure of all transferred personal information will be subject to this Privacy Policy. However, any personal information you submit or that is collected after this type of transfer may be subject to a new privacy policy adopted by the successor entity.
    Designated Countries: We process the personal information of users located in the Designated Countries based on legitimate interests described above in compliance to the Data Protection Laws.

If you opt-in to receive marketing communications from third parties, we may allow these entities to utilize your information for their own marketing purposes.Based on your consent, we may share some or all of your contact information with our marketing partners and corporate affiliates.     Designated Countries: We process the personal information of users located in the Designated Countries based on your consent in compliance with the Data Protection Laws.

Children

Unless permitted to do so by applicable law, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 years old. Unless their parent or guardian gives us their consent, children are not allowed to use our Services. If we discover that we have unknowingly collected personal information from a child, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to remove such information in our database. Security

We are committed to the security of your personal information. We and our service providers that handle personal information maintain appropriate physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect the confidentiality of the personal information you provide to us. We cannot however, guarantee the security of your personal information or that loss, misuse, unauthorized acquisition, or alteration of your data will not happen. Any information transmitted via email or wireless connections is not in our control.

Retention of Personal Information

We will try to limit the storage of your personal information to the time needed to serve the purpose for which your personal information was processed, to enforce our agreement, policies or terms, to resolve disputes, or as otherwise required or permitted by law. On Marketing, we retain your information indefinitely until you opt-out or unsubscribe. Once you opt-out from marketing communications, we include your contact information to our suppression list to support your unsubscribe request. Meanwhile, your interactions and content on our Services may be retained indefinitely after the closure of your account for the establishment or defense of legal claims, audit and crime prevention purposes.

Transfer of Personal Information

The personal information you have provided to us may be transferred to, processed and maintained on servers or databases situated outside the country or jurisdiction where you are located. These locations may have less protective data protection laws than the location where you reside. You should not use the Services if you do not wish to have your personal information transferred or processed outside of the country or jurisdiction where you are located.
Designated Countries: We transfer your personal information subject to appropriate safeguards as permitted under the Data Protection Laws. Specifically, when your personal information is transferred out of the Designated Countries, we have the required contractual provisions for transferring personal information in place with the third-parties to which your information is transferred. For such transfers, we rely on legal transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses or we work with U.S. based third parties that are certified under the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework.

Special Information for California Residents

California residents who are users of the Services are allowed by California law to request and receive once a year, free of charge, a notice from us describing what categories of personal information (if any) we shared with third parties, including our corporate affiliates, for their direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year. If you are a resident of California and would like to request a copy of this notice, please contact us through the Contact Us section. Please allow at least thirty (30) days for a response.

Also, if you are a resident of California under the age of eighteen (18) and a registered user of the Services, you may request removal of information or content that you have on Services by submitting a request on our Contact Us section.

However, please consider that we are not required to delete or erase content or information if:

Other state or federal laws require us or a third-party to maintain the content or information;

The content or information was posted, stored, or republished by another user;

The content or information is anonymized so that the minor cannot be individually identified;

The minor does not follow the instructions posted in this Privacy Policy on how to request removal of such content or information; and the minor has received compensation or other consideration for providing the content.

Further, nothing in this provision shall be construed to limit the authority of a law enforcement agency to obtain such content or information.

Information for Residents in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland (the Designated Countries)

Note: Since our Services was launched in November 2017 and until further notice, our Services are not made available to residents in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland (the Designated Countries). Should it be made available in the Designated Countries, applicable changes shall be made to this Privacy Policy and users of the Services will be informed via a notable notification.

This section only applies to users of our Services that are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and/or Switzerland (collectively, the Designated Countries) at the time of data collection. We may ask you to identify which country you are located in when you use some of the Services, or we may rely on your IP address to identify which country you are located in.

We cannot apply the terms of this section to any user that masks or obfuscates their location information so as not to appear located in the Designated Countries. If any terms in this section conflict with other terms contained in this Policy, the terms in this section shall apply to users in the Designated Countries.

Relationship Between You and BeeStripe LLC

BeeStripe LLC is a data controller with regard to any personal information collected from the users of its Services. A user is an individual that provided personal information to us using our Services. This is done by creating an account with our Apps, or accessing or using our Services. A data controller is an entity that determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal information is processed. Third-parties that act as our service providers are data processors that handle your personal information in accordance with our instructions.

Legal Bases for Processing Personal Information

In the sections: How We Use The Information We Collect and How We Share Your Information With Third Parties under the headings entitled Designated Countries, we described our legal bases for processing your Personal Information. The legal bases we relied on to process your personal information include: your consent to the processing; satisfaction of our legal obligations; need to protect your vital interests; need to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts we entered with you or to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract with you; need to process in the public interest; or for our legitimate interests as described in those sections.

Marketing Activities

For users located in the Designated Countries, we shall contact you by electronic means for marketing purposes only based on your consent or based on your friends’ consent. You can always withdraw your consent or change your marketing communication preferences at any time and free of charge. Individual Rights

You may contact us at support@thebettercleaner.com if you would like to exercise your rights under applicable law when you use our Services. Please ensure that you are prepared to verify your identity when we receive an individual rights request from you. Kindly be advised that there are limitations to your individual rights. We may limit your individual rights in the following ways:

When granting access would have a negative impact on other’s privacy;

To protect our rights and properties; and

Where the request is frivolous or burdensome.

Right to withdraw consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time if we rely on consent to process your personal information. A withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of our processing or the processing of any third parties based on consent before your withdrawal.
